Winter Solstice Split Stone

It was December 21, 2017, when Matt, Ingrid, and Archaeologist Jack Hranicky went out to track the winter solstice sun.  They learned that the Split Stone points to the sunrise; the sun rises between the serpent’s head and what was thought to be an egg, which was later discovered and is likely the sun effigy today.  (Bear Spirit Mountain Video, All Rights Reserved)
