Native or Pioneer?

“Bring your Metal Detector and let’s go explore….”  It’s not every day that detections like this come up!  Matthew “Maasaw” Howard, part Cherokee and Tuscarora, invited me to officially join his team of licensed professional Engineers, Researchers, Professors, and Teachers.  Honored and thrilled, I was to take a hard look at a site of some 85-100 “mounds” all in a row, in a grid, with cardinal point orientation.  Hmmm.  Are these Native American burial sites, or are they of pioneer origin?  The ground helps tell the story.  A must-watch!
