Platform Structures

Ceremonial in purpose, these rock features were created in a very similar way to the Base Stone Cairn.  The difference is there was no large base boulder.  These rocks were stacked on top of each other from the ground up.  These rock structures were usually in a square or rectangle shape.  They are ceremonial in nature, and yet on occasion, I have found them to not be included with a burial ground.
